During my creative transition from making Upright Ring Teapots with hand-sculpted animal figures, to concentrating on abstract Teapots with no animal figures, I experimented with using the teapot form to suggest the environment of the animal I had chosen to model. In this composition, I made the Teapot reassembly suggest the craggy rocks that North American Mountain Goats thrive on, and chose glaze colors in muted rocky shades of gray, green, brown, and black. Another Teapot in this series is my “Pacific Puffins (Spring Plumage) Reassembled Ring Teapot,” also found in this Teapots In Private Collections section. I am very proud of my accomplishment in making this North American Mountain Goats Reassembled Ring Teapot.
